Profit and Loss now available in Measure

We are excited to announce that the Measure application within the Observatory has been updated to include a new Profit and Loss report.

Overview

The Profit and Loss report will bring together the savings and efficiencies in Measure with the costs of the procurement function, to quickly show in dollars and cents, procurement's contribution to the bottom line of their organization.

This is not the way that procurement teams have typically reported to their managers in the past, but in the tough economic conditions of the last few years, it is more important than ever that where savings and efficiencies are made, they are reported.

In addition, there has been mounting pressure for public sector organizations to provide information to the general public that they are being good stewards of public funds and publication of the Profit and Loss report can go a long way towards achieving that goal.

What is MEASURE?

The Observatory's MEASURE functionality provides an efficiency measurement framework and the supporting online tools to make it easy to capture, collate, analyze and report the savings and efficiencies delivered by the procurement function.
